Meet Sarthak Bakshi, a young talent who has significantly contributed to Clеartrip's success by revitalising their customer experience and fostеring teamwork through creating a UI Library.

Cleartrip proudly announces that it has consistently achieved an impressive 2X growth in its business annually. This remarkable surge in performance highlights the synergy between Flipkart's resources and Cleartrip's expertise in the travel industry. The acquisition has еvidеntly provided Cleartrip with the impetus it needs to thrive and expand its horizons.
However, Cleartrip, like many other travel firms, went through some difficult times due to the Covid-19 pandemic and consequent lockdowns all over the world[3]. It must have come as a huge relief to them when the company witnessed business touching pre-pandemic levels as the world began to unlock.
Scaling while bringing more digitally-enabled travel experiences after the rough ride that was the pandemic years meant that the company had to ramp up its hiring and acquire employees that were skilled and could hit the ground running from day 1. It was under these circumstances that Cleartrip came to Masai and chose to hire many of its graduates. Among them was Sarthak Bakshi.
A native of Kanpur, UP, Sarthak had one dream when growing up: To work in the tech world. His fascination with computers became a burning passion as he got older.
So driven was he by his passion that by the age of 19, he had already learned C++, operating system installation, network installation, router configuration, server configuration, cloud computing, and even assembling and disassembling hardware.
He didn’t stop there. Within a year Sarthak was learning web and app development, and even got a job as a LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, and PHP) stack developer. However, this didn't famish his hunger for learning either and he found himself exploring opportunities to learn web development with the MERN (MongoDB, Express, React, and Node) stack, the most popular tech stack in the Indian tech industry. Unfortunately, not a single institute he found would teach MERN to a fresher.
Just as he was losing all hope, a friend recommended Masai to him. To this end, he helped revamp the entire customer funnel and even proposed creating a UI Library which further encouraged collaboration among different teams.
Another one of Sarthak’s responsibilities was to work on the Calendar and Maps portion of Cleartrip’s offerings. A massive task, it involved converting as well as changing the functionality of the service, and smoothing its functionality across different platforms.
He’s also worked on implementing a number of cross-platform and payment-related features. It’s not that he hasn’t faced challenges during these projects, like communication lag or tight deadlines, but he has taken every opportunity to learn from them.
