About Educational IITM Pravartak
IITM Pravartak Technologies Foundation is the Technology Innovation Hub hosted by IIT Madras, set up under the Department of Science and Technology’s National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems. Its research mandate covers Sensors, Networking, Actuators and Control Systems - the technologies behind autonomous mobility, secure communications, healthcare devices and critical infrastructure.
Alongside research, Pravartak runs a technology, entrepreneurship and skilling arm that translates laboratory work into industry capability. Its professional programmes are delivered through live online masterclasses by Pravartak faculty and senior industry practitioners, anchored in real Indian case material rather than generic global examples.
Learners work through applied projects and a capstone, with optional on-campus immersion at the IIT Madras Research Park, where they meet faculty, mentors and industry panels face to face.
