Concept to application, every week
Each week moves from idea to method to hands-on practice. Nothing assumes prior knowledge beyond what the program has already taught, so the sequence itself is the scaffolding.
Portfolio-first
Every module produces a portfolio-grade artefact, not a coursework deliverable. By the capstone, learners have a body of real work to show, anchored in Indian products.
AI as the working partner
From the first session, AI accelerates the drafting and learners bring the judgment. The prompt-then-verify habit, taught early and matured through the program, keeps the output trustworthy.
Modules
What a product manager actually owns, the language of the role, and why outcomes matter more than output. How every step of the job changes when AI handles the first draft and you become the evaluator. Setting up your AI assistant and everyday PM tools on a real task, and building the prompt-then-verify habit that separates a real AI-first PM from someone who just uses chatbots. Anchored in a live situation: turning a pile of scattered user complaints into a clear, ranked view of what to fix.
Audit a real PM workflow, your own or a chosen Indian product. Pick three tasks to redesign with AI and write a one-page workflow redesign memo with prompts, evaluation criteria, and expected time saved.
Capstone
An independent, end-to-end product decision on a real Indian brand. Your deliverable spans a discovery brief, a market scan, a full PRD with AI-feature specs, a metrics tree, a prioritisation rationale, a rollout plan, and an integrated deck, a portfolio-grade body of work you can present to IIM Ranchi faculty and industry practitioners.
Build product solutions on real Indian company problem statements covering discovery, strategy, PRDs, and metrics.
Evaluation
A case-based assessment that mirrors the term: you work through a realistic product situation and make the calls, from discovery and prioritisation to metrics and an AI-feature decision.

Prof. Tamal Samanta
Assistant Professor, Marketing, IIM Ranchi
Prof. (Dr) Tamal Samanta is an Assistant Professor of Marketing at the Indian Institute of Management Ranchi. He holds a MBA from IIM Nagpur and PhD from IIM Lucknow. His areas of interest and research focus are primarily on the bottom of the pyramid marketing, subsistence markets, periodic markets, and small unorganized retail.
His work has been published in international journals such as International Journal of Retail & Distribution Management, Journal of Retailing and Consumer Services, Qualitative Market Research: An International Journal, Journal of Global Marketing, Journal of Financial Services Marketing and conference proceedings such as Subsistence Marketplace Conference, Retail Institute Academic Conference and Macromarketing Conference.
Dr. Shipra Mathur
Assistant professor, IIM Ranchi
Dr. Shipra Mathur is an Assistant Professor of Marketing at Indian Institute of Management Ranchi. She holds a Ph.D. in Marketing from Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, where her research focused on contemporary issues in consumer behavior and marketing communication.
Her teaching interests span key areas such as Brand Management, Consumer Behavior, Digital Marketing, and Marketing Research, reflecting a strong blend of theoretical grounding and practical relevance.
Dr. Mathur's research primarily explores consumer psychology, brand authenticity, and the impact of communication cues in digital environments. Her work employs experimental methods to understand how marketing interactions shape consumer perceptions, particularly in online contexts.
Arun Nandewal
Senior Product Manager, Microsoft
Arun Nandewal is a Senior Product Manager at Microsoft with over 8 years of experience building and scaling AI-powered products, particularly in financial infrastructure and intelligent systems. He leads product strategy end-to-end—from identifying opportunities and defining roadmaps to executing and scaling impactful solutions.
His work on AI-driven financial systems has been featured at global platforms such as Google I/O and Microsoft Ignite. Beyond his role, Arun actively mentors and coaches aspiring product managers, helping them develop strong product thinking and execution skills.
He holds an MBA from IIM Ahmedabad and brings together academic rigor and hands-on experience to deliver practical, high-impact product insights.
