Masai resumes its flagship Pay After Placement (PAP) programme in collaboration with MICA, Ahmedabad. The programme carries a Business Analytics with AI title rather than a data analyst one, so the sections below show where the two overlap and where they differ.
Fees and terms as of 4 November 2026.
Is there a pay after placement data analyst course at Masai?
The programme Masai resumes with MICA is Business Analytics with AI. Its named target roles are Business Analyst, Marketing Analyst and Product Analyst, along with similar entry-level analytics roles. Data Analyst is not among the named roles, but the skills the programme teaches overlap with data analyst work, as the table below shows.
MICA lists the programme on its own listing of the certificate programme in Business Analytics with AI. Prof. Aditya Naishadam of MICA is the Programme Director, MICA faculty teach in it, and it leads to a MICA Certificate, earned with at least 60% in each unit plus the other completion criteria.
It runs live online, 5 days a week, 3 hours a day, and the programme asks for about 25 hours a week in all. The programme takes about 26 weeks (six months) and can take up to ten months depending on your pace and mastery.
Data analyst skills and the unit that teaches each
| Data analyst skill | Where the programme teaches it |
|---|---|
| SQL | Unit 1, Foundation: SQL for analysts, ending with the Foundation Test |
| Excel: advanced functions, Pivot Tables, Power Query, dashboards | Unit 2, Excel and Python foundations |
| Python for data analysis: Pandas, NumPy, cohort analysis | Unit 3, Python for data analysis |
| Power BI: data modelling, DAX | Unit 3 |
| Statistics and A/B testing | Unit 4, with marketing and product analytics |
| Segmentation, funnel analysis, unit economics | Unit 4 |
| Applied machine learning: scikit-learn, model evaluation, AI tools used with critical validation | Unit 5 |
| Resume, LinkedIn profile, mock interviews | Unit 6, Elevate |
The tools across the programme are Python, SQL, Excel, Power BI and Jupyter. The guide to the top 15 data analytics tools puts them next to the wider tool set analysts work with.
How the target roles sit next to data analyst roles
The programme names Business Analyst, Marketing Analyst and Product Analyst as target roles. Data analyst roles draw on much of the same toolkit, which is why a learner aiming at data analyst work looks at this programme. The title on an offer letter is not something the programme promises.
The business analyst vs data analyst guide sets out how the two titles differ. For the wider route into analytics from the start, read how to become a data analyst in India.
Pay and demand figures for data analysts sit in the data analyst salary in India guide and are not repeated here. The CTC bands set the PAP fee, and the minimum CTC in your agreement, typically from ₹3 LPA, decides what counts as an eligible job.
Projects, resume and LinkedIn: from coursework to a portfolio
Project work runs through the programme. Unit 1 ends with a mini project, and every required project must be submitted for you to continue. Those projects are the raw material for your portfolio.
Elevate, Unit 6, turns that material into a resume and a profile. It is held in person in Bengaluru, attendance is mandatory, and it covers resume building, LinkedIn profile optimisation, mock interviews, interview preparation and communication skills training. Its fee is ₹5,000, paid only if you reach Unit 6, and food, stay and travel are not included. Elevate gives preparation and access to opportunities. It does not give a job.
What the programme costs and when you pay
All amounts below are non-refundable. GST is extra where it applies.
| Stage | What you pay |
|---|---|
| Qualifier test | ₹99 |
| Enrolment, paid at counselling to hold your seat | ₹10,000 plus GST |
| Elevate, only if you reach Unit 6 | ₹5,000 |
| After an eligible placement, placement CTC of ₹3.00 to ₹4.99 LPA | ₹1,80,000 |
| After an eligible placement, placement CTC of ₹5.00 LPA and above | ₹2,50,000 |
Before placement, if you reach Elevate, you spend ₹99 + ₹10,000 + ₹5,000 = ₹15,099 plus GST. The PAP fee can be paid in one go or in 36 monthly EMIs through NBFC partners. The EMIs are ₹6,944 x 36 = ₹2,49,984 or ₹9,722 x 36 = ₹3,49,992, and the EMI route costs more in total, with subvention cost and GST extra where they apply. The fees and EMI breakdown works out every total.
The fee is triggered only after you secure an eligible offer and join. An eligible offer is at or above the minimum CTC in your agreement, typically starting from ₹3 LPA, and the fee applies one month after joining. You cannot reject an eligible offer, and a job you find yourself still triggers the fee. If you met every requirement, appeared for placements, kept the Code of Conduct and Masai could not place you in an eligible role, the PAP fee is not triggered. The fee trigger rules cover each case.
Masai's placement record and hiring partners
Masai publishes a 94% placement rate, an average alumni salary of ₹6.9 LPA and a highest package of ₹36 LPA, along with 4,000+ hiring partners and 10,000+ graduates placed in top companies. Placement figures as published on masaischool.com on 4 November 2026. Employers on the Masai placements page include Capgemini, IBM, GlobalLogic, Paytm, Dream11, smallcase, BharatPe and Leap Finance.
These figures describe Masai's programmes to date, not the MICA Business Analytics with AI programme, whose first learners have yet to complete it.
The ₹6.9 LPA and ₹36 LPA figures are history across Masai's programmes. They are not a promise, and they do not describe a data analyst role. Your own PAP fee depends on the band your eligible offer's CTC falls in. For this programme, the resume and LinkedIn work at Elevate comes after five units that each end in a mini project, so there is project work to put on your resume.
Who should join
The programme suits you if:
- You are a graduate or above, aged 20 to 28, with a laptop.
- You can give about 25 hours a week for about six months, and up to ten months if your pace needs it.
- You are open to any eligible offer, since company and location preferences are not accepted.
- You can travel to Bengaluru for Elevate, which has mandatory attendance.
- You can meet the thresholds to continue: 90% attendance, 80% assignment completion and 60% in assessments, plus all required projects.
A learner who wants to choose the employer or the city, or who cannot meet those thresholds, will find this model hard to work with.
