Product Thinking & Discovery
- Understand how digital products create user value and business value — and how acquisition, activation, retention, monetisation, and trust shape every product decision
- Learn how PM, design, engineering, and analytics work together in real product environments — so you know your role and how to collaborate effectively from day one
- Distinguish shallow feature requests from real user problems — and frame product problems clearly using actor, task, friction, and consequence
- Build discovery thinking through hypothesis writing, flow reading, and friction mapping — the foundational skills of every strong product analyst
- Develop deep understanding of activation, retention, churn, conversion, north-star metrics, funnels, cohorts, and segmentation — so you can interpret product movement with clarity, not just memorise terms
Data Skills for Product Analysts
- Use Sheets and Excel to structure raw product data, clean inconsistencies, reconcile tabs, validate counts, apply formulas and lookups, and build KPI trackers for real product questions
- Understand how product data is stored across users, events, sessions, subscriptions, and experiments — the mental model every PM and product analyst needs before writing a single query
- Write SQL to filter events, calculate KPIs, join related tables, analyse segments, support funnel reading, and prepare retention and cohort-style analysis tables
- Build pivot summaries and reporting tabs that a product or growth team can actually use — not just exercises, but analyst-grade deliverables
Insight Communication & PM Decision-Making
- Read KPI dashboards with trend and comparison views, detect anomalies, and understand what a well-structured product dashboard should contain
- Convert data outputs into concise stakeholder-friendly notes that clearly separate observation, insight, implication, and recommendation
- Communicate feature ideas clearly and build beginner-level decision-making ability around opportunity sizing, prioritisation, trade-offs, and evidence-backed recommendations
- Learn lightweight prototyping for PMs — describe an idea, mock it up quickly, and present it in a way that moves a conversation forward
AI for Product Work
- Understand where AI, ML, and LLMs fit into PM and product analytics workflows — and where they genuinely help versus where they introduce risk
- Write structured prompts for SQL drafting, metric summarisation, research synthesis, user-signal synthesis, and PRD support that save real time in real work
- Use AI to help with query drafting, metric interpretation, and structured problem notes — while applying human-review discipline before trusting any output
- Learn to verify AI outputs for fabricated claims, poor reasoning, broken SQL, and privacy or workflow risks — because using AI responsibly is a professional skill, not an afterthought
