What Is EmpowerHer?

EmpowerHer is a nationwide career transformation program for women, powered by Masai School, in collaboration with KSIF and AVPN. It's a fully-funded, 5-month Web Development bootcamp + 2-month internship support, designed to get you job-ready in tech — at ₹0 upfront cost.

This isn't just education. It's economic empowerment for women across India, from Varanasi to Visakhapatnam.

About Curriculum

The Web Engineer Program aims to equip students with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills in web development, preparing them for successful careers in the tech industry. Through a structured and progressive curriculum, students will develop a solid foundation in programming, master core web technologies, and gain hands-on experience in building and deploying dynamic web applications. The program also includes training in Generative AI and Prompt Engineering, enabling students to leverage AI-driven tools and create intelligent, user-focused solutions. It culminates in thorough interview preparation, ensuring graduates are confident and job-ready.

  1. Recruitment: Masai will recruit both candidates and companies for the education and internship programs
  2. Digital Education Programs: Masai will conduct tailored digital education programs for 460 candidates
  3. Internship Program: Masai will operate an internship program for 60 selected candidates
  4. Operational Assistance: Masai will provide operational assistance to Indian women participating in the program
  5. Monitoring and Reporting: Masai will track the progress of the project and provide regular reports, including weekly, inception, interim, and final reports
  6. Social Value Management: Masai will analyze and manage the social value generated from the project, track job placements, and manage follow-up activities to ensure the project's success and social impact

Who is eligible for the EmpowerHer program?

General Criteria:

  • Age: 18-40 years old, Women only program
  • Residency: Courses are for India Residents only
  • Documentation: You must have a valid Aadhaar Card
  • Language: Basic knowledge of the English language is a must for our courses
  • Education: Must have cleared 12th grade or equivalent diploma
  • Equipment: Must possess a Laptop or Desktop with a good internet connection
  • Availability: Must be available between 4 PM to 8.30 PM during the course

Target Demographics:

  • Location: 60-70% of enrolled students will come from Rural India ie Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities and towns
  • Economic Background: 60-70% of enrolled students will be from economically weaker sections (EWS) of society ie family income < 5 lakhs per annum

What is the enrolment process?

  1. Stage 1: Registration - Candidates register for the program
  2. Stage 2: MSAT - Candidates take the Masai School Admissions Test to assess their high school math and logic capabilities
  3. Stage 3: Trial Week - Candidates who clear the MSAT cut off will be accepted for the trial week. Students who meet the attendance, assignment and assessment criteria will move to the EmpowerHER program
  4. Stage 4: Documentation - Candidates who clear the MSAT must submit proof of their Economic Weaker Section (EWS) status and Aadhar Card. 70% of seats are kept for EWS students

What is the program curriculum and duration?

  • Program name: Web Developer (with Generative AI & Prompt Engineering)
  • Curriculum Duration: 5 Months
  • Course Timings: 4 pm to 8.30 PM, Monday to Friday
  • Schedule:
    • 4:00 to 5:00 pm - Doubt Resolution (optional)
    • 5:15 to 6:15 pm - Soft Skills / Pair Programming (Mandatory Session)
    • 6:30 to 8:30 pm - Technical Skills (Mandatory Session)
  • Modules: 5 (Five), One month each

What are the completion criteria?

  • Attendance: Minimum 70% attendance in every module across various courses
  • Assignments: Minimum 70% assignment submission in every module
  • Assessment: Candidates must participate in periodic assessments to progress in the program

What is the internship program?

Masai shall assist 60 selected candidates out of 460 who have successfully completed the Education Program in securing internships.

  • Duration: 2 months (only for eligible candidates)
  • Stipend: Internship stipend paid by KSIF

What is the code of conduct?

Attendance & Participation:

  • Maintain a minimum of 70% attendance in all live sessions
  • Complete and submit at least 70% of all assignments on time
  • Achieve a passing score (≥ 5/10) in every module evaluation

Internship Drive Requirements:

  • Be willing to participate in all internship drives and accept offers in remote, on-site, or hybrid formats
  • Failing to participate or declining the internship offer, masai will account the same towards contract fulfilment

Professionalism & Collaboration:

  • Uphold respectful communication and collaboration in all peer-to-peer and mentor interactions
  • Adhere to Masai's anti-harassment and anti-discrimination policies at all times
  • All work submitted must be original. Plagiarism or unauthorized collaboration is strictly prohibited and may lead to disciplinary action, including removal from the program

What happens if I don't meet the requirements?

Termination Clause: Students who fall below the attendance, assignment-submission, or module-evaluation thresholds will be exited from the program.

What certificates will I receive?

  • Completion Certificate: Completed the Curriculum and internship program
  • Participation Certificate: Completed the Curriculum, did not participate in internship

What is the EmpowerHer Program Timeline?

  • Admissions: July 2025 - September 2025
  • Trial Week: 22 Sep - 27 Sep 2025

  • Revision and Internship Preparation: March 2026

What is the medium of instruction?

The medium of instruction at Masai is English. All lectures are delivered in English. As part of the curriculum, we also help you develop your written and verbal communication skills that help you become more employable.

Do you offer loaner laptops for prospective students?

No, we do not offer any loaner laptops.

Does college CGPA play any role in the program?

No, your college CGPA does not play any role in your entry to our courses.

Will I receive a degree or certificate when I graduate from Masai?

We do issue a certificate of completion upon graduation, and you also receive certification of completion or certification of participation.

What do I do if I don't have an Aadhar Card?

At the time of admission, having an Aadhaar is mandatory.

What is the 'Trial' week?

The trial week will be held from 22nd September to 27th September. Students are expected to maintain:

  • 70% Attendance
  • 70% Assignment submission
  • 50% Assessment scores

Students who meet or exceed Trial week requirements will continue in the program.

What is the duration of the program?

  • Duration: 5 months (October 2025 - Feb 2026)

What is the MSAT?

Masai School Aptitude Test or MSAT is a test that measures an individual's ability to solve problems, digest and apply information, learn new skills and think critically. We also check if the applicant has basic English speaking skills.

Does Masai guarantee a job after the course?

No, we do not guarantee a job after the course. Masai is a skill building school where we offer holistic development focusing on technical skills, soft skills and employability quotient. We offer you placement assistance and guidance only.

What should I expect for the EmpowerHer Entrance Test?

The EmpowerHer Entrance Test assesses analytical, mathematical, and logical reasoning skills through multiple-choice questions. To prepare, practice sample questions and review arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and verbal reasoning concepts. Find practice test questions here.
