MICA Business Analytics with AI fees: what you pay, when, and what the EMI adds up to
If you stay in the programme, you pay ₹15,099 before any job offer. After an eligible placement you pay ₹1,80,000 or ₹2,50,000, or 36 EMIs that come to about ₹70,000 to ₹1,00,000 more. Here is every charge and six outcomes, with the arithmetic shown.
Quick answer: If you stay in the programme, you pay ₹99 for the qualifier test, ₹10,000 plus GST to enrol and ₹5,000 for the Elevate unit before any job offer: ₹15,099 in all, with GST on the enrolment fee. After you join an eligible job you pay ₹1,80,000 (CTC of ₹3.00 to ₹4.99 LPA) or ₹2,50,000 (₹5.00 LPA and above), plus GST, either at once or in 36 EMIs. The EMIs add up to about ₹70,000 and ₹1,00,000 more than the one-time amounts.
Fees as of 27 October 2026. GST is charged as applicable.
Every charge in one table
| Charge | Amount | When it applies |
|---|---|---|
| Qualifier test | ₹99 | Before the test |
| Enrolment (secure seat) fee | ₹10,000 plus GST | To hold your seat after counselling |
| Elevate unit fee | ₹5,000 | At the start of Unit 6, if you progress to it |
| PAP fee, CTC ₹3.00 to ₹4.99 LPA | ₹1,80,000 plus GST | After you join an eligible job |
| PAP fee, CTC ₹5.00 LPA and above | ₹2,50,000 plus GST | After you join an eligible job |
| Drop-off fee | Can apply, from ₹50,000 | If you leave or are removed after the first five weeks |
| Optional campus immersion at MICA | ₹5,000 per day, plus travel and stay | Only if you choose to go |
All programme fees, including the qualifier test, enrolment, PAP and drop-off fees, are non-refundable and non-transferable once paid. The ₹10,000 enrolment fee and the PAP fee are separate charges, so the totals below add them.
Some costs sit outside the fee schedule. A laptop is mandatory, and the Elevate unit is held in person in Bengaluru, with food, stay and travel not included in its fee.
Six outcomes and what each costs
| What happens | What you pay |
|---|---|
| You leave, or don't clear the Foundation Test, in the first five weeks | ₹10,099 (₹99 plus the non-refundable ₹10,000 enrolment fee) |
| You leave or are removed between about week 6 and week 20 | A drop-off fee that starts at ₹50,000 and grows as the programme progresses |
| You leave or are removed after about week 20 | A drop-off fee of ₹1,80,000, with no job involved |
| You finish, take part in placements and aren't placed in an eligible role | ₹15,099 (₹99, ₹10,000 and ₹5,000). No PAP fee |
| You are placed at ₹3.00 to ₹4.99 LPA | ₹1,95,099 in one go, or ₹2,65,083 on EMI |
| You are placed at ₹5.00 LPA and above | ₹2,65,099 in one go, or ₹3,65,091 on EMI |
The third row matters. After about week 20 the drop-off fee equals the lower PAP fee, so leaving late does not mean owing nothing. Leaving earlier carries a smaller fee. The pay after placement eligible placement rules explain what triggers the PAP fee itself.
What the EMI adds up to
The EMI figures are published with the fee bands. Multiply them out:
| PAP fee band | One time | EMI | Months | EMI total | Extra over one time |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| ₹3.00 to ₹4.99 LPA | ₹1,80,000 | ₹6,944 | 36 | ₹2,49,984 | ₹69,984 (about 39%) |
| ₹5.00 LPA and above | ₹2,50,000 | ₹9,722 | 36 | ₹3,49,992 | ₹99,992 (about 40%) |
Interest and other lender charges are borne by the learner, which is why the EMI route totals more than the one-time amount. Paying in one go after placement costs less by those amounts. After placement you choose between one payment and EMI, and EMI goes through an NBFC partner.
Will the EMI fit your first salary?
CTC is the annual figure on your offer letter. Divide by 12 to compare it with a monthly EMI:
| Placement CTC | Monthly CTC | EMI | EMI as a share of monthly CTC |
|---|---|---|---|
| ₹3.00 LPA | ₹25,000 | ₹6,944 | 27.8% |
| ₹4.00 LPA | ₹33,333 | ₹6,944 | 20.8% |
| ₹4.99 LPA | ₹41,583 | ₹6,944 | 16.7% |
| ₹5.00 LPA | ₹41,667 | ₹9,722 | 23.3% |
| ₹6.00 LPA | ₹50,000 | ₹9,722 | 19.4% |
| ₹8.00 LPA | ₹66,667 | ₹9,722 | 14.6% |
CTC includes components that don't reach your bank account each month, such as employer provident fund contributions and variable pay, so take-home is lower and the real share is higher. The fee bands are stepped: a placement at ₹5.00 LPA and above carries the ₹2,50,000 fee, which is ₹70,000 more than the ₹1,80,000 band below it. What you receive before you pay the ₹10,000
After you clear the qualifier test you attend a mandatory webinar and receive the terms and conditions, FAQs, brochure and your acceptance letter by email. A one-on-one counselling session follows. That is the point at which you decide whether to enrol: you sign the Acceptance Agreement and pay ₹10,000 plus GST, or you exit with no further payment. The MICA Masai qualifier test and Foundation Unit guide lists every step.
