Understanding AI - The Orientation Layer
- Understand what generative AI actually is, where it is genuinely useful, and where it falls — so you use it with judgment, not just enthusiasm
- Get hands-on exposure to the most useful AI tools available today: ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, and specialised tools for writing, research, and productivity
- Learn safe AI usage at work: hallucinations, sensitive data, privacy risks, copyright, bias, and the situations where you should not use AI at all
- Leave this module with a clear mental model of the AI landscape — what each tool is good for, what to be careful of, and how to evaluate new tools as they emerge
